HAAGA-HELIA’s Erasmus Programme is an Erasmus Success Story

HAAGA-HELIA’s Erasmus Programme is an Erasmus Success Story

HAAGA-HELIA has been selected as one of the European Union Lifelong Learning Programme success stories. HAAGA-HELIA was selected for the publication thanks to our professional and dynamic approach in promoting and organisizing the Erasmus mobility programme as well as multi-cultural training.

In the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, the Erasmus success stories selected for the 2009 edition show creative and innovative ideas in the field of student mobility, thematic networks and curriculum development projects.

From Finland, in addition to HAAGA-HELIA, also University of Tampere was selected for the Erasmus Success stories as well as the Ruralia Institute, University of Helsinki for the Leonardo da Vinci programme and HUMAK for its information and communications technology.

Erasmus is the largest exchange programme for the higher education students established in 1997. The general aim of the Programme is to create a European Higher Education Area and foster innovation throughout Europe. Erasmus is part of the EU's Lifelong Learning Programme 2007-2013

HAAGA-HELIA has more than 950 international degree students who together with some 270 Erasmus and 40 other exchange students and international teachers contribute to a truly international learning environment. HAAGA-HELIA’s strong commitment to the Erasmus programme is demonstrated by the fact that almost 210 students, 65 teachers and 12 staff members went abroad within the Erasmus framework in 2007/08.
